Abstract: For the theory of smooth representations of G=GL_n(D) , D a non-Archimedian local skew field with center F, it is important to understand the conjugacy classes of the embeddings of the o_F-points of a torus of G into a given parahoric (The fixator of a point of a building of G). Those embeddings can be classified using Broussous-Grabitz embedding types. We present in the talk how to obtain those embedding types geometrically using an embedding of buildings.
