Abstract: In this lecture, we provide a brief introduction to the superstring theory, discuss the advantage and disadvantage of various string theories. We will also discuss some recent progresses in the string theory: for example, the application of hologrphic duality, AGT duality in blackhole, quantum chromodynamics and condensed matter theory.
