Title: Scrollar syzygies and representation theory
Abstract: In this talk we will discuss a new connection between representations of the symmetric groups and minimal free syzygy resolutions of covers of P^1. Up to our knowledge such a connection between representations and syzygies has not been observed before. Various applications in arithmetic statistics Hurwitz moduli spaces and analogue in geometry of numbers will also be indicated. This is a joint work with Wouter Castryck and Floris Vermeulen.
