Abstract: Cone spherical metrics are conformal metrics with constant curvature one and finitely many conical singularities on compact Riemann surfaces. The angle condition for the existence of a class of cone spherical metrics, called reducible metrics, is related to Jenkins-Strebel 1-forms. By drawing the oriented metric ribbon graphs, we give a necessary and sufficient condition to the existence of Jenkins-Strebel/Strebel 1-forms with prescribed residues and multiplicities of zeros. The dimension of the moduli space of Strebel 1-forms is also given.
