Abstract: In this talk, I will give an introduction to left-orderable groups and an overview of the study of the space of left-orderings of these groups. In this direction, I will speak about previous results as well as my new contribution to this line of inquiry. In particular, I will discuss different notions of fractal dimensions of the space of left orderings, their properties and compute these fractal dimensions in some examples: including abelian group, BS(1,n), free group, surface group and more generally a class of torsion free one-relator groups. This work answers some questions posed by Andre Navas. This is joint work in progress with Leonardo Dinamarca, David Xu.
