Abstract: Stability is an important concept originated from dynamical systems and widely spread to many branches of mathematics. In this talk, we show how the idea of stability from dynamics applies to the mean curvature flows. We show that generically an unstable compact shrinker can be avoided by the flow and a cylindrical singlarity is isolated. This is a joint work with Ao Sun.
