Abstract: The local Langlands correspondence attaches an L-parameter to every irreducible admissible representation of a reductive group over a local field, which is expected to reflect basic representation-theoretic operations such as parabolic induction, etc. For the case of taking contragredients, Adams-Vogan and Prasad conjectured independently that the L-parameter should be modified by the Chevalley involution, and verified this claim for various groups. In this talk, I will discuss the equal-characteristic case in terms of V. Lafforgue's Langlands parameterization. The conjecture can be verified by geometric and local-global arguments in this setting.
